How Taste Becomes Patronage

Danetha Doe is a Cultural Economist and founder of Power Glam. The central question of her work is: What role can the people who love culture play in helping it endure? Drawing from research across economics, luxury, fashion, craft, cultural studies, and patronage, Danetha examines how taste is formed; how people learn to recognize cultural significance; and how collecting, commissioning, hosting, advocacy, relationships, knowledge, and capital can become part of an intentional stewardship practice.
